FAQ’s

Here are our most Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any other queries relating to hiring one of our motorhomes then please call or email us and we’ll happily assist.

Our insurers cover anyone aged 25-70 years.

Hirers need to have a minimum of 2 year driving experience.

Most driving licences are issued with Category B entitlement. All of our vehicles can be driven on a standard Category B driving licence. The government website states that licence holders with Category B can drive vehicles up to 3,500kg MAM (maximum authorised mass). All of our vehicles are weight plated up to 3,500kg. For further information please visit the government website: https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories

We require your full disclosure of any infractions on your licence. If you have more than 6 points then we will need to liaise with our insurers to check your eligibility. If you have any queries then please call us to discuss in further detail.

All hirers will need to provide us a driver licence check code which can be obtained through the government website: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

Note: You will need your driving licence number and National Insurance number to obtain your code and it needs to be obtained within 21 days of the first day of your hire period.

We need to refer you to our insurers. To do this we need your driving licence details and and all relevant information relating to your conviction. The likelihood is they’ll charge a slightly higher excess which we will need to pass on to you as a pre-authorisation transaction on the first day of your hire period. Naturally this amount will be refunded back to you upon return of the vehicle, if it is returned damage-free and within the parameters set out in our Terms and Conditions

Our insurers cover from those aged 25+. Unfortunately we cannot hire to anyone who is below this age.

We do not enforce any mileage limits during your hire. Feel free to explore all four corners of our great nation.

Vehicles can be collected between 1pm – 3pm on the first day of hire as shown on your booking confirmation. You will be allocated a specific timeslot for your handover. Collection outside of these times can be arranged subject to availability and at the discretion of CamperVango.

The vehicle needs to be returned on the last day of your hire agreement between 9:30am – 10:30am.

Note: Charges are applied for late returns.
